Royal Caribbean

For Royal Caribbean’s global brand presentation, each studio was designed to evoke a different destination from the guest journey, transforming the PIER59 campus into a series of immersive cruise-inspired environments.

At the center of the experience was the Megaverse and MegaWall, allowing presentation content, motion graphics, and environmental visuals to become part of the physical architecture of the event. Scenic design, media playback, lighting, audio, and broadcast systems operated as a single integrated production ecosystem.

Behind the scenes, PIER59 provided the infrastructure required to support both the live audience and simultaneous online viewers, including power distribution, rigging, networking, media servers, and broadcast integration.

Chelsea Piers’ unique loading access and campus footprint enabled large-scale scenic builds across multiple studios without the complexity and cost often associated with temporary event venues. The result was a seamless global presentation that transformed a corporate event into an immersive brand experience.

Kore.ai

Hosted inside the Megaverse, the event transformed MegaWall into a dynamic environment that evolved throughout the day.

The LED content shifted seamlessly between keynote presentations, product demonstrations, and networking sessions, allowing the room itself to respond to the rhythm of the event. Rather than serving as a traditional presentation backdrop, the environment became part of the storytelling.

Built on the same infrastructure used for feature films, commercial campaigns, and virtual productions, the experience demonstrated how event production can benefit from the same technology powering today’s most advanced content creation workflows. The result was a fully branded environment that felt uniquely Kore.ai while showcasing how virtual production can shape not only what appears on screen, but how a room feels.

Netflix Upfronts

Full Studio Activation  

Netflix’s inaugural in-person upfronts provided media with an immersive branded experience.  The studios were transformed into a real-world experience of some of Netflix most iconic and popular shows, including a mock version of Squid Game, a string ensemble with characters in period costume to celebrate the new season of Bridgerton and a gastronomic experience inspired by the many cooking shows on Netflix housed within Pier59’s iconic café and deck with gorgeous views of NYC and the Hudson River. All of this was tied together through the use of Pier59’s studio-wide LED displays controlled by advanced Disguise display systems to be perfectly synchronized to the exacting details of the 2-day event.

Cloudera Evolve24

Full Studio Activation  

Pier59 Studios hosted Cloudera Evolve24, a premier Data and AI conference that brought together industry leaders, innovators, and experts to explore the possibilities of “Trusted Data Today for Tomorrow’s AI.” The event featured an extensive program including keynote presentations, customer sessions, an expo zone, and one-on-one meetings with Cloudera experts. Utilizing Pier59’s state-of-the-art 65-foot LED MegaWall, the corporate keynotes delivered visually dynamic and impactful presentations, immersing the 400+ attendees in cutting-edge discussions on data management, AI strategies, and market trends

Chivas The Venture

Featuring Studios 1, 4, 5, Stage C, The Deck, and the Studio Café  

Chivas Regal utilized Pier59 Studios’ versatile event spaces for The Venture, a program dedicated to supporting startups that drive positive social impact through funding, resources, and mentorship. The event brilliantly leveraged the venue’s column-free areas to create a central stage for the main presentation. The scope of the event extended to Studios 4 and 5, as well as Pier59’s stunning deck, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor experiences to enhance the event’s ambiance and reach. Guests enjoyed breathtaking views of One World Trade Center and the Hudson River from our private restaurant, adding to the event’s appeal.

Azuki Enter The Alley

Featuring Studios 4, 5, 6, Stage C, and The Deck 

Azuki’s “Enter the Alley” event at Pier59 Studios transformed the venue into an immersive night market, showcasing its capacity to bring digital worlds to life. With an extensive buildout and advanced audio-visual design, the event highlighted Pier59’s ability to meet both creative and technical demands, offering a vivid example of how the space can be adapted for unique and innovative experiences.

Pier59 Studios Virtual Production Launch

In February 2023, Pier59 Studios redefined video production with the launch of its cutting-edge Virtual Production stage, the world’s largest and most advanced setup in the Northeast.

At its core is a 65-foot curved LED screen and 40-foot articulating ceiling with over 25 million pixels and 25 billion colors. Supported by a 4K system generating 200 teraflops of power, it delivers interactive, image-based lighting at 1500 nits for photo-realistic effects.

This revolutionary setup combines real-time CGI with live-action filming, offering unparalleled control, flexibility, and cost savings. Filmmakers can adjust time, weather, and environments instantly, eliminating expensive sets and travel.
